This page will help you in preparing the correct identification required for the lender we have chosen for your remortgage, in advance of our representative's visit to your home. There is an additional link should you wish to find out more about the lender we have selected for your remortgage.

Primary ID (please supply one from the list below)

• A valid full passport

• An EU member state ID card.
• A valid HM Forces ID card bearing the signatory's photograph.
• Current full UK Driving Licence (if new style both photo card & paper part required).

Secondary ID (please supply one from the list below)

• Council tax bill.

• Recent utility bill (no older than 3 months old, & not a mobile phone bill). 

  

• Recent bank/building society/credit card statement (no older than 3 months old).
• Most recent mortgage statement.
• Local council rent card/book or tenancy agreement
• Current full signed UK driving licence (if not used to confirm primary identification).

 

Primary Verification (please supply one from the list below)

  • Current signed passport
  • Current full UK driving licence (old style)
  • Current UK or EEA photo driving licence, or disabled drivers blue pass.
  • Residence permit issued by HM Home Office to EU Nationals on sight of own country passport
  • Firearms or shotgun certificate (current)
  • Current benefit book or original letter from Benefits Agency confirming the right to benefits
  • Inland Revenue tax Notification < 12 months old e.g. tax assessment, notice of coding (not P60 / P45)
  • Sub-contractors Certificate with Photo and Signature(Form C1S4, C1S4(P), C1S4(T), C1S5 or C1S6 )
  • Cheque guarantee or debit card with inlaid holograph photo. If no photo an original statement lees than 3
  months old to be certified also.
  • Current Employers signed Photo Identity Card from a Nationally Recognised Employer (FTSE 100)
  • HM forces ID card with photo and signature
  • EEA member state identity card
  • Bankruptcy order / County Court Judgement – must show name and address. Must be a court issued
  document (not Equifax/Experian)
  • Marriage Certificate – must show applicants correct name(s)
  • Current RTB Section 125 – must be current and show applicants correct name and address.

  All documentary evidence must be certified as a true copy of the original, dated and signed by a suitable individual
  (i.e. FSA Registered Intermediary) who has identified the customer / seen and certified original documents, and their
  relevant registration number and name must be printed clearly on the certified copy.

  • Local Authority rent card or tenancy agreement
  • Bank / Building Society statement dated within the last 3 months ( NO internet bank statements) including

  • Current benefit book (if not already used to verify ID)
  • Current Full UK driving licence (if not already used to verify ID)
  • House or motor insurance certificate (current year and address)
  • Hire Purchase agreement
  • Credit card statement (less than 3 months old)
  • Confirmation from an Electoral Register search that a person of that name lives at that address.
  • Bankruptcy order / County Court Judgement – must show name and address. Must be a court issued
  document (not Equifax/Experian) - (if not already used to verify ID)
  • Current RTB Section 125 – must be current and show applicants correct name and address. (if not already
  used to verify ID)
  • Other Professional – for example Doctor, Police. Must show applicants name and address, must be signed
  and stamped. Must be no older than three months prior to application being signed
